Hi members, as we approach the end of our 2nd full year of operations, there’s a number of important updates to share and dates to start planning for in 2024.


Following the clubs AGM, held Sunday 17th December our committee sees some changes in key positions. After leading the club as President from inception through 2 successful seasons of growth, Bryce Conrad is stepping down from this role and we thank him very much for his tireless contribution and drive to establish and grow the club during this time. Having held the office of Vice President for the past season, James Elward now takes up the mantle as Club President, with Sarah Cullen relinquishing the role of Secretary to step up as the Vice President. Craig Air is continuing for another term in the Treasurer’s role and Kiéra Dwyer rejoins the committee as an ordinary member for another year. 

These moves have left the role of Secretary as a casual vacancy for the board to fill, along with 2 further Ordinary Member positions. If you have a desire to be involved in the ongoing growth and success of representative Ice Hockey on the Coast, please reach out to one of our current Committee members for a chat and more information. 


Having wrapped up our first Junior Stingrays Skills Development program at the end of November, a reminder that our next sessions to prepare our Juniors for the 2024 season commences Wednesday 10th January 2024 through to Wednesday 14th February 2024 on the ice from 7pm. All current and prospective Junior members are welcome. 


Next step in planning for season 2024 will be our Try-out and Grading Sessions. 

Sunday 28th January 2024 from 3:30pmSunday 4th February 2024 from 3:30pm Specific details for junior age teams as well as Womens and Senior Divisions will be released in the coming weeks. 

We have indicated to the IHNSW Seniors Committee that we intend to field teams in all 4 Senior Divisions this coming season. As such it’s going to be vital should you have the desire to represent the Central Coast Stingrays in Season 2024 that you let us know via the ‘Expression of Interest’ to be released soon, and that we see you at our grading days so we can place everyone on an appropriate team.


Further to the planning of the coming season for our players, we will also be seeking Expressions of Interest for Coaches and Managers. If you would like to support the success of our teams through these roles, again please reach out to the committee. Formal expressions of Interest will be posted in the coming weeks. 


Lastly to support the growth and effective administration of the club, from 2024 we will be implementing the Stack Team app. This will allow us to manage a single channel of communications with members, provide more effective and accessible updates and news as well as access to club and team information. We also hope to establish an e-store on the platform for the ordering and purchase of club merchandise, clothing and other miscellaneous club items.
